Server Status – World of Warcraft Servers Down For 24 Hours – I’m sure there will be a lot of pissed off World of Warcraft gamers for the next day as most of the servers will be down due to maintenance being done by Blizzard.
If you don’t know World of Warcraft by now, it’s arguably the most popular online game and people really take it seriously. I’m sure there will be a lot of people complaining to the company, though, the 24-hour downtime is rumored to have the Cataclysm expansion ready. So, at the end of the day, WoW gamers should be happy when that comes out.
Blizzard announced the 24-hour downtime and it should be between the hours of 12:01am Pacific time on June 8th to 12:01 Pacific time on June 9th. Technically, the servers should be up and running by now but I believe they are having people test the beta versions to make sure its all set before making it live for everyone.
Just be patient and check the WoW forums to check the official updates on the server statuses.
