Alienware kicks off their second round of preliminaries at Funanin Singapore this weekend. With the first preliminary ending just last week at the National University of Singapore (NUS), this week’s preliminary promises to be one filled with tons of action.
The first preliminary at NUS was only open to students and thus other outsiders were not allowed to join. Even though registration was limited to the students, there were a number of good games coming from the participants. With heroes like NightStalker picked in the finals of the NUS prelims, it has definitely set the tone for the upcoming matches with other interesting picks to match up to the NightStalker.
Teams would be playing for the first prize of $500 SGD and a seeded spot at the grand finals. With this preliminary at Funan being open to all teams, there may be a possibility that top teams from Singapore like Aeon.sg and XtC may choose to take part. Furthermore, in the last Alienware Arena held in Funan earlier this year, Kingsurf came down to pay a visit and world renowned players Lakuci and Koala from the famous Indonesia team, XcN, teamed up with Singapore’s own Axis to take part int he Alienware Arena.
With such DotA powerhouses having taken part in the Alienware Arena, this preliminary would not be far from the standard that Alienware Arena has set. So stay tune to Gosugamers to find out which team would be joining Team Whack!, the winners of NUS preliminary, in the grand finals of the the Alienware Arena Tournament.
